Interactive app released for Bassetlaw's new sculpture trail
We were really excited when Making Trails contacted us about creating an interactive app for a brand new sculpture trail, the North Notts Nectar trail. This outdoor art exhibition has been put together by Making Trails and is being brought to you by North Notts Business Improvement District (BID), in partnership with Bassetlaw District Council and the DBH Charitable Fund.
The trail features a rabble of 30 bee sculptures, located across the Worksop, Retford, Harworth and Tuxford area. The sculptures showcase artwork from a wide range of talented artists, many from the North Notts area. They are made from recycled, reformed plastic, and each celebrate positive character traits and good environmental behaviours.
The North Notts Nectar Trail is a 20 week exhibition, culminating in a charity auction where the bee sculptures will be auctioned off to raise money for the DBH Charitable Fund.
Can you find the bees?

The app, we created, is available for iOS and android phones and can be downloaded for free on the App Store and the Google Play Store.
Users of the app can locate the bee sculptures using a user friendly map, type in a unique four-digit code located on the sculpture base when they find a bee, keep track of how many bees they have visited, and donate easily and quickly to the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching hospital Trust, the project's chosen charity.
Download the North Notts Nectar trail app for free from the App Store or Google Play store. Find the bees, unlock rewards and measure your progress.
